This Painting is a representation of the battle between good and evil on this earth. The eagle is a very powerful bird and is symbolic of God's power. The snake is the serpent and it represents the forces of darkness. September 11th gave a clear and sobering representation of this ongoing battle in the spiritual realm. Right now in our country, we are fighting a physical battle against terrorists around the world. The real battle is against the spirit of antichrist which Jesus said is already in the world (1 John 4:3). We must realize that God's kingdom is greater than Satan's kingdom. No matter how things may seem or appear, satan was defeated 2000 years ago at cavalry on the cross. Even though at times we may be attacked, God has given us the victory through Jesus Christ.
